Who Should Attend:
Professionals seeking certification to perform mandated envelope and duct testing: building inspectors, HVAC contractors, insulators, energy efficiency contractors and service providers, quality assurance construction managers. Course also covers essential air sealing techniques and building envelope fundamentals.
Credentials:
Certification: Duct and Envelope Tightness (DET) Verifier Certificate (NOTE: You must receive a passing score on both exams
for Southface designation as a DET Verifier.)
Location: LaHouse Resource Center 3622 Gourrier Ave. Baton Rouge, La.
Date: Choose from September 30 or December 10
Class Time: 8:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.

Prerequisites and Class Supplies:
Online Pre-class Tutorials: Basics of Building Science ,online 1-hour modules
Supplies: Bring a calculator for the written and field exams.
Continuing Education units: This seminar is pre-approved education hours for Louisiana residential contractors (request LSLBC form) and La. Home Inspectors (full credit through LSBHI). A LaHouse Resource Center certificate of completion will be issued to attendees.
Cost: $650 registration fee (includes written and field exams)
Refund Policy: There are no refunds. Class dates can be changed once for a fee of $20.
