School Gardening for Sustainability Training

in New Orleans or Lafayette.

The Louisiana Farm to School Program will be providing school gardening for sustainability trainings in both the New Orleans and Lafayette areas to support farm to school programming across the state.

Who: Teachers, gardeners, volunteers, Louisiana Master Gardeners who support farm to school gardening. Anyone involved in farm to school is invited to apply.
What: One-day training featuring lectures and hands-on learning, including educational lessons and activities for student learning.
When: September 12th from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. or October 15th from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
Where: New Orleans Botanical Garden or Ira Nelson Horticulture Center in Lafayette
Cost: $30 to cover food and materials

There are limited spaces for the training. Additional dates will be added in other areas around the state.

October 15- Lafayette ($30.00*) + Fees and Processing
The one-day training will take place in Lafayette at the Ira Nelson Horticulture Center. The training will take place from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Lunch will be provided.
